Capitol Park, a small slice of green surrounded by handsome buildings, is well hidden and out of the way for most traffic today. Perhaps that is a factor in the continued abandonment of such a fine building as the Farwell.

On the outside the Farwell is a modest eight story "Chicago School" office building. Inside its lobby was lavishly decorated with Tiffany glass and its offices filled with natural light. Now these features are hidden from the public.
